The chilly months are upon us and it’s the gift giving season, too. If you have a hard time figuring out what to get the outdoors people on your list, like I do, I thought I will give you some suggestions. Thinking back about items that I have really appreciated receiving, I picked three things that any outdoors person would like to have during the winter. Years ago, my wife got me a heated jacket, and it has saved the day during some bitterly cold weather. The one I have has three temperature settings and came with a hood. You may want to consider getting just a vest. There are no heating elements sleeves in the jacket. The battery is rechargeable. Another item I always use when I am heading outside in the winter is a pair of heated sox. There are three heat settings in the ones I have. Some friends of mine can control the heat settings with a remote they keep in their jacket pocket. These also come with rechargeable batteries. I also received a set up rechargeable hand warmers last year. These work better than the disposable warmers and recharge quickly.
