I recently traveled to Clarkston, Washington to visit the Thunder Jet production facility to get a tour. I was invited to go there by my boat sponsor, Mark’s Marine in Hayden, Idaho. They had ordered a new Thunder Jet Luxor to be built for my use this year. They thought I would like to see how the folks at Thunder Jet put together their boats and to see the one being built for me. I will be sharing my experience there in a future report and I did a video that will be posted soon on my Facebook page and YouTube channel. On my way home I was going to pass by the park and overlook of Palouse Falls. This would be the third time in about a week that I had driven by here, and this time I pulled off and viewed the falls. It is spectacular. It is certainly “out of the way” and I am surprised by how many people I mention it to have heard of the falls but have never visited the site. The falls are at the head of a gorge on the Palouse River. I had the chance to fish on the Palouse River recently and was awestruck by the scenic vistas, wildlife and the variety of fish we caught on the river. Chalk this one up to “stop and smell the roses” occasionally. I don’t do it often enough and am always glad I did.
