If you try fishing from the shore, your line freezes to the spool on your reel if you make many casts. It’s too cold to be out on the water in a boat unless you have curtains that enclose it and can have a heater going. What’s guy going to do? There is a couple of ways that anglers and hunters can enjoy their sports—indoors. The Washington Sportsmen’s Show is going on right now at the Fair Grounds in Puyallup. The is “the big one” that is spread out through several buildings on the Fair Grounds, with hundreds of exhibitors. There are lots of fishing guides and folks from lodges and resorts to talk to and there are some bargains on fishing tackle and other equipment. There is a full schedule of seminars that are a huge hit at this show. It runs through Sunday February 2nd. Also going on is the Seattle Boat Show. It’s the biggest of its kind on the West Coast. You can see everything from big luxury yachts to all kinds of recreational and fishing boats. There are seminars on a wide range of interests. It runs through February 8th.
