By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Well, I found a lot of great places where deer HAD been during my hunt, just not many place where they CURRENTLY reside. Track and poop soup for me this year. But, I found some great new country and got a lot of fresh air. So, elk season is just about here and my Dad was drawn for an after-season cow tag. We're getting Mom a safe place to stay for the week while I'll be helping Dad hopefully find a cow. I'm sure seeing a lot of great fall fish photos from folks. The walleye and bass bit on Potholes seems to be pretty good. I've also heard of some great trout fishing on Lake Roosevelt from Seven Bays down to Sterling Point. In addition, if you're willing to put some miles on the water and give chase, Banks is still putting out some decent walleye. I know October is also the time of year some buddies take the walleye gear to the Columbia River in the Wenatchee area and find some really good sized walleye. Hunting on local ducks and geese is slow, but will pick up. Oh the choices! Until next time, Good Fishing!
