By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. It was a great turnout for the North Central Washington Youth Hunting and Fishing Day Saturday at the NCW Gun Club. Nearly 300 kids took part in hands-on learning about the great outdoors. Congratulations to Keith Boyd and the Wenatchee Sportsmen's Association for putting on a great event. After I packed up the P-A gear and headed out from the gun club Saturday, I grabbed Marion and we headed west to see my folks and retrieve my boat. Another $146 to fix a solenoid on the lower unit controller. While there, we decided to make one last stab at crab fishing. Up early Sunday, we made our way through wind and rain to the launch beneath Twin Bridges in Swinomish Channel. We started crabbing just off the refinery docks near Anacortes. While we had plenty of crab in the pots, we didn't find many keepers. So we ran across behind Hat and Saddle Bag Islands to my favorite spot and limited out in a couple hours. For those on Facebook, you can see my video from out on the water. Now that the boat's back, we're going to try for some walleye. Until next time, Good Fishing!
