By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. We're quickly coming up on a wedding ceremony in our backyard and time's running out on making preparations. One of which was to fetch my dad's travel trailer from the family property in Winthrop to provide extra housing for those coming in a couple weeks. Saturday morning, I was making the pilgrimage up US97, then along SR153 to connect with SR20 to Winthrop. The trip takes the better part of an hour and a half, and I was pleasantly surprised to see many fly fishermen along the route casting lines in the Methow River. Of course, I'm sure they occasionally had to reel up to make room for passing inner tube riders. I threw in a tackle box and fishing rod to wet a line in Pearrygin since I would be up that way. I knew I'd be trying during the wrong part of the day and, sure enough, the jet skiers and wakeboarders had taken over the lake by the time I cast a line. I gave it an hour before pulling up and finishing the job of retrieving the trailer. Fish or not, it's always good to spend time by the water. Until next time, Good Fishing!
