By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Years ago when I hosted The Great Outdoors show on radio, I did a recording with my stepdaughter at the time while fishing on Conconully Lake. Looking back, it's one of the best shows I ever did. Not because of my brilliant hosting, but because of Lily. I think she was about 8 or 9 years old at the time and, to this day, is one of the smartest kids I've ever been around. Thanks to her Mom, had plenty of snacks and reading material to take in the boat with us to keep her occupied. Lily had a cold and the poor girl's nose was running all over her face. I turned the recorder on and set it on the seat between us as we anchored up to fish a spot I was told would produce. We used Power Bait so as to avoid the whole worm-hook-gross issues. It was classic. I've never shied away from using big words and half our discussion that day was about decorum. It's one of my favorite fishing memories of all time and I don't remember if we even caught a fish. Until next time, Good Fishing!
