By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Like you, I've had a lot of time to fill in the last year. Think of it, a year ago we were shut down and couldn't even go fishing or hunting! But we could go boating. Yeah, I'm still scratching my head over that one! Here we are, a year later, and we're still dealing with COVID but at least we can enjoy our pursuits in the great outdoors. For Marion and I, that means a little camping and fishing this weekend. What's always fun and interesting about making the choice of where to go is the incredible choices we have at our disposal. That's one of the greatest things about living here in North Central Washington. My home is the base camp to an incredible world of possibilities just a short drive away. Do we head for Roosevelt and chase large kokanee? Do we head for Chelan and the crystal blue splendor of the 3rd-deepest lake in the US? Do we head for Potholes and try our luck with walleye? Instead, I think we'll head for Billy Clapp Lake east of Soap Lake. Yes, we relish in the possibilities. Until next time, Good Fishing!
