By Dave Graybill

I caught up with my buddy and guide Austin Moser, of Austin’s Northwest Adventures Guide Service the other day. Since we had returned from Fish Camp in the Columbia River Gorge, he has been busy fishing the Reach for fall kings. Austin has been getting limits for his clients, sometimes by mid-morning. He has some openings available and if you want to take advantage of the nice fall weather and fast action on kings, better give him a call. Also, he is offering something new this season. You can also book walleye trips with him to fish in the Reach. If you haven’t heard, there is some great walleye fishing to be had in the Vernita area, and many of the fish are very impressive. Don’t forget the Hunting and Fishing Celebration on Saturday. It will be held at the North Central Washington Gun Club at Francher Heights in East Wenatchee from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. The event is free to youth ages 6 to 16 and accompanying adults. There will be target shooting, with rifle, shotgun and bow and arrow and information on hunting, fishing and conservation of fish and wildlife and habitat.
