For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. This Labor Day Weekend, Marion and I wound our way to Western Washington to hide away for a few days at a friend's place on the middle fork of the Satsup River. It's one of those places where you have to go there to get there I don't think you find it by accident. You take the 101 north and head towards Shelton until you see the exit for Matlock. When I first learned of this haven away from the mobs I thought it was a haven for Andy Griffin fans to spend time solving murder mysteries. But no, it's just a quiet place set in the southwest corner of the a Puget Sound, midway between the Capital and the Ocean Beaches. It's a place to lose yourself just enough to find yourself by the end of two or three days. And while fishing is available, fishing is not the plight. Angling for a little solitude is the quest and the bounty. I wish you could only find such a place. Until next time, Good Fishing!
