The annual Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce Pike Minnow Derby, sponsored by Grant County PUD is coming up this weekend. Starting on Friday, September 21st, anglers will gather at Crescent Bar and run out to their favorite pike minnow holes to catch as many as they can. There are prizes in both adult and youth categories for those who bring in the most weight in pike minnow. The adults could win a four-person guided fishing trip, a Scotty electric downrigger and other prizes. The top five youngsters will all receive a $50.00 gift card. Those adult who make the top five could win a 15-foot Marlon fishing boat with a 30 hp Mercury motor and trailer. There are many other raffle prizes that range in value from $50.00 to $2,000.00. Derby organizers have arranged for free camping at Crescent Bar for registered derby participants and even a free dinner at Tower Pizza. To learn all the details on how the derby prizes will be awarded and even register for the event, go the Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce web site, or you can click on the Something Fishy in Quincy logo on my web site at FishingMagician.com.
