For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Remember that whole thing I said about using eggs on the Hanford reach Tuesday? Forget what I said. I was messaging last night with guide Shane Magnuson of Upper Columbia Guide Service and he said he's having more success on flashers, Superbaits and tuna so far in this fall fishery. For those of you on Facebook, you can take a look at his happy customers from the past few days. Shane said he's finding more fish downstream from Vernita Bridge around the N Reactor and the Punch Bowl. He said he's been getting a great morning bite trolling downstream, especially on the flashers and Superbaits. According to Magnuson, red has been his hot color. Now, Shane mixes his tuna with Graybill's Guide Formula from Northwest Bait and Scent. He said a combination of the Krill and Garlic have been the hot ticket. Also, Shane says the fish have been hugging the bottom, so the closer you can stay down there, the better. Just be careful in some of the areas below Vernita, I've lost a lot of gear hanging up on the rocks. Sounds like it's worth a trip for a fall King. Until next time, Good Fishing!
