By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. A couple different things rattled through my head the last few days I thought I'd share. First, I spoke for a moment with Shawn Short at Hooked On Toys about the crazy-good King fishing on Lake Chelan. I've also been taking note on the reports from guide Joe Heinlen of Lake Chelan Fishing Adventures and he too has been reporting a ton of Kings being taken on his excursions on Lake Chelan this year. In fact, Heinlen reports his clients have caught 300 land-locked Chinook on Lake Chelan this year. Short told me it got so good that he began targeting them and went 18-for-18. A reminder that you're limited to one King a day in Lake Chelan. I'm just curious what turned loose in Chelan for the numbers to be so high? The other thought that rattled through my cranium was my Grandma Sylvia. I was watching the "My Cause, My Cleats" video for Seattle Seahawk defensive end Frank Clark. He lost his grandmother from bladder cancer and his cleats will say "If Grandma Could See Me Know." I hope my grandma could look down on me and be proud of what she sees now. Until next time, Good Fishing!
