For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. While many were in the Tri Cities over the weekend at the Sportsman's show, my beloved and I were breaking the law north of Bridgeport. Well, not purposefully. It wasn't until we were on our way out Sunday that we realized we were camping in an area closed to camping. Strangely, the Sheriff's Deputy who came by Saturday and Sunday nor the Colville Tribe's fish checker, nor the ranger from the Army Corp of Engineers who came by bothered to tell us we weren't supposed to be camping there. Maybe they thought our screws were loose at the sight of our tiny, cot tent and hard-scrabble camp site. As for me and Marion, we couldn't have been happier. We had a warm, crackling fire, good food, and the fresh, winter air to cleanse our souls. The fishing? Meh. We caught two fish for the entire day-and-a-half of trying. But, as always, it's about the adventure, not about the catch. Our Friday night was rather interesting with a plethora of wildlife near-encounters. But I'll save that story for next time. By the way, we caught the two fish on Power Bait. Until next time, Good Fishing!
