I have already told you about the Banks Lake Triple Fish Challenge derby that will take place this coming weekend. I hope you give this one a try. It is fun and the kids are really treated like royalty. They often can’t carry all the stuff they win. There is another derby that is scheduled for the following weekend. It is the Forth Annual Manson Trout Derby at Wapato Lake, which will take place on April 28th. The Manson Chamber of Commerce does a great job putting this one on, and families really enjoy it. They changed it up a bit this year. The big fish turned in by an adult registered for the derby will win $500.00. The heaviest trout limit turned in will be worth $250.00 and the big fish prize in the youth division will be $100.00. You can register for the derby by logging onto my web site and clicking on the derby logo at the bottom left hand side of the page. You can also register the day of the event, which begins at 6 a.m. and the weigh in will be at 2 p.m. Derby headquarters is at the Wapato Lake public boat launch, next to the campground.
