I know a lot of people have fishing plans for this weekend, but many are setting their sights on the following weekend, April 21st and 22nd. My favorite derby is the Sixth Annual Banks Lake Triple Fish Challenge. This one is a little different than most. Anglers are tasked with catching a bass, walleye and a trout each day of the two-day event. There are cash and tackle prizes each day for the biggest of the each of these species caught each day, for both adults and youth. There’s a prize for the heaviest six-fish weight caught over the two days, too. The grand prize, for the adult that turns in a bass, walleye and trout each of the two days, is a four person Achilles fishing boat with motor and trailer. You can register on-line and learn more about the Banks Lake Triple Fish Challenge by going to my web site and clicking on the logo at the bottom right of the Home Page. There will be on site registrations taken on Friday, April 20th, starting at 5 p.m. Every year more and more people turn out for this fun event, and whole families are now competing for the prizes. Some one will win the boat. It could be you!
