By Dave Graybill

I stopped by Bob Feil Boats and Motors yesterday to check on the Smoker Craft Phantom I will be driving this season. This will be the 20-foot model that Bob Feil Boats has provided me for use before and it is a great fishing boat for our region. I was pleased to see that it is about 99 percent ready to go. A steering bar and graphics is all that is left to do. You will be seeing me on the water in this boat very soon. I was looking back at some of the photos that I took when I got the previous Phantom and had to laugh. I found one of my favorite photos of my wife at the launch at the State Park in Chelan. It was very close to this same day a few years ago, and she is scraping snow off the windshield so I could see where I was going. I recall that the weather cleared not long after we put the boat in the water. It turned out to be a nice sunny day, and we had a great time catching kokanee.

Here’s my wife Eileen scraping snow off the windshield at the launch at Lake Chelan.
