By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. A small stretch of dirt, pine trees and blue sky just outside of Winthrop has been in my family since 1970. My paternal grandparents invested in the acre of a young development because my grandfather loved to fish nearby Twin Lakes, Patterson, and Pearrygin. I vividly recall my first fishing memories of plying the waters of Big Twin in a 12-foot aluminum boat when I was five. Grandpa Al was in the stern and Grandma Sylvia was in the bow. I had a big fish on and lost the rod overboard. I knew I was dead. But then, through my tears, I realized the boat was shaking from my grandma's laughter. Apparently they had a similar incident the first team they shared a fishing adventure on that very same lake. Marion and I stayed at the property last weekend. I took her to Lake Pearrygin State Park where we fished from the bank near the boat launch Saturday and Sunday. It had been years since I'd fished there, let alone from the bank. We did well and caught our limits both days. Those on Facebook can see a little video we shot. Until next time, Good Fishing!
