By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. With Sunday being Easter, I knew Marion would want me to travel with her to the west side to be with her Mom and family. Instead, she told me to go fishing. It actually took a while for her to convince me to stay home and go. But the caveat was that I'd have to come home with fish. No pressure. So there I was, 5:45 Sunday morning on Lake Chelan, dropping lines overboard in 250-feet of water off the State Park. I'd talked to several people who'd had success who filled me full of advice on depth and speed (100-feet and 1.1 MPH by the way). Sure enough, I picked up two nice fish in the first hour. But, that was it. For the entire day. But the day was gorgeous with nary a cloud in the sky and the holiday kept most people off the water. Our little mixture of 7-boats trolling the area were all using electric bowmounts so it was quiet. All I could hear was the gurgle of water beneath the hull and the call of birds. It was a magical day even if the fish weren't biting. Until next time, Good Fishing!
