One of my favorite derbies of the year is coming up at the end of the month. It is the Banks Lake Triple Fish Challenge, put on by the Grand Coulee Dam Chamber of Commerce. This derby is a little different. The idea is to challenge anglers to catch a smallmouth bass, a walleye and a rainbow—two days in a row. Since the derby started six years ago no one has been able to do this! There is a 14-foot Achilles inflatable boat with a motor just waiting to be taken home by the angler that does. The event has turned into a real family affair, and the kids that participate can hardly carry all the prizes they win back to their car. The derby will be held on April 27th and 28th this year, so there is still plenty of time to plan on being part of this fun event. To get all the details and even register on line, just go the Home Page of my web site at www.fishingmagician.com, and click on the Triple Fish Challenge logo on the right hand side of the page. This will open a page with all the details.
