By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. It seems like summer is gone and I didn't get out fishing at all. Truth is, I've only been a handful of times. It's nobody's fault but mine. As General Manager for NCWLIFE Television in Wenatchee, and doing double duty as the station's Sports Director, my free time isn't so free. So making the choice of taking time away from the tasks at hand to cast a line have been difficult. In fact, Dave called me last week for a final answer on going to Fish Camp in the Columbia River Gorge this year near Biggs Junction. I finally had to say no. With high school sports season here and the TV station covering three to four events a week, it's just too much for me to take four days off during the week to go down. So my freezer will go begging for salmon meat and tension in my temples will continue unrelenting. I long for those lingering moments staring at the end of my rod, hovering directly over my drop weight as a gob of salmon eggs bobs a foot off the bottom. Well, maybe next year. Until next time, Good Fishing!
