By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Happy Thanksgiving! Besides being a holiday about food, it's also a great time to reflect and be grateful for blessings in our lives. What am I thankful for? I'm thankful for the ability to fish. I'm thankful for the freedom to choose wherever I want to go, pack up, and go there. I'm thankful for living in such a place that I can be in one of hundreds of great fishing spots in a matter of a couple hours. I'm thankful for the vision to be able to take in the beauty that is North Central Washington. From the rolling hills of wheat on the plateau to the valleys blanketed with fruit trees. From the snowy caps of the Cascades to the mighty Columbia. From the incredible coulees to the vast reservoirs that feed our region with water and power as well as incredible recreation opportunities. I'm thankful for that first cast and the "bloop" of my bait. I'm thankful for a willing fish to play along with my game, tugging my line, jerking the tip of my rod. I'm thankful for the sizzle of the reel and the thrill of the catch. Until next time, Good Fishing!
