For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Not sure if you've had this one or not, but I thought it would be good to discuss today. On Sunday when Marion and I launched the boat on Potholes to head out to fish, I turned my Lowrance HD7 touch screen on. It beeped and then nothing. I couldn't see anything on the screen. I touched the screen and it beeped again, but I couldn't see anything. I power-cycled the unit and still, nothing came up. I leaned forward until the bill of my hat nearly touched the screen and could faintly make out that, sure enough, it was on but the screen was dimmed. Marion suggested I throw my coat over my head, which helped greatly. I motored us out onto the lake to get away from the pilings and docks. I struggled for minutes trying to figure out how to adjust the screen. I even broke the manual out of the glove box, only to find that I had the wrong one. Thankfully I had a cell signal and found a video on YouTube. Now I know to just hit the power button once and the dimmer control pops up. Until next time, Good Fishing!
