By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. There's something about going in blind to a fishing opportunity that is both tantalizing and annoying at the same time. I like to think I'm prepared. I'd rather head for a body of water loaded with intel from others that would help for possible success. Then there are those times where I'm going in completely blind. These trips usually end one of two ways. I luck into fish and have a spectacular trip, or I spend a lot of time and energy on a fruitless endeavor. I have a sports assignment in Moses Lake Saturday to call a State 1B 8-man football playoff game between Concrete and Almira-Coulee-Hartline. I suggested to Marion that we take the boat, head over the Mardon Resort Friday and try to get some fishing in while we're in the neighborhood. That's the plan, but we're going into it completely blind. I'm going prepared for everything from walleye to perch to trout. I just don't know what's been happening down there as the season has shifted from fishing to duck hunting on the reservoir. We shall see. I assured Marion that I'd bring the top for the boat. Until next time, Good Fishing!
