For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. So often in the world of fishing I am lucky enough to run into good people doing good things for others. One such person is Tony Warren. Since 2018, Tony's been working on a passion project for veterans and first-responders called Operation Catching Freedom. To this point, Tony and a great many volunteers have organized fishing events to get veterans and first-responders out on the water for some fishing fun and fellowship. This is a great non-profit organization that will hold its first-ever fundraiser Saturday, June 10th at Union Hill Cider in East Wenatchee by Highlander Golf Course. The event kicks off at 3 o'clock and is open to the public. R-Shack BBQ will have food for a fee while music is provided by Black Market Blues Band and Older and Wiser. Raffle tickets are $5 a pop or 5 for $20 and there's about 40-items in the silent auction. All the proceeds go to benefit Operation Catching Freedom, which has events coming up to honor veterans and first-responders. In fact, they have Operation Kokanee for the ladies this Saturday and Operation Salmon July 13th. Find out more at OperationCatchingFreedom.org. Until next time, Good Fishing!
