By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. One thing I didn't have a chance to do before I left for vacation last week was post videos of the two rainbow I caught on our trip to British Columbia. So if you want to go to our Facebook page, I'll post them there. I still can't get over how beautiful the water was at both Premiere Lake and Whiteswan Lake. Last week while on vacation on the Washington coast, I tried surf perch fishing again. I had success the first time I tried this years ago but have been skunked since. Last week was just another such occasion. I was told by someone once that you always have to look for pelicans working the surf of the incoming tide. If they're there, you should have success catching fish. The theory is that the pelicans are fishing as well so if there's baitfish in the water, that means there's larger fish the pelicans like to eat, such as perch. I saw no pelicans, no seagulls, not even a wayward crow the entire time I fished. I should have taken a clue. Oh well, it was still loads of fun. Until next time, Good Fishing!
