By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. We picked Dad up in Marysville Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. The day was your typical for Western Washington, foggy and drizzling rain. Surprisingly, we cruised right down I-5 and 405 arriving in Puyallup for the Sportsmen's Show by 10:30. Thanks to the gang at O'Laughlin Trade Shows, we had three tickets waiting at will-call. I had a few people who'd reached out to me knowing I was coming that I wanted to interview on camera for our reports here. First up was Shane Manguson with Upper Columbia Guide Service and Northwest Bait and Scent. He was excited to tell us of a new line of walleye scents coming out that would be available by the show in Portland. Shane also said the predictions for a sockeye return to the Upper Columbia River this summer look good enough to plan for a fishery in the Brewster Pool as well as Lake Wenatchee. Shane said he's busily settling into his new home between Wind River and Drano Lake along the Lower Columbia River and looking forward to another season of catching salmon. We'll visit with Austin Moser later on. Until next time, Good Fishing!
