By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Ah, Memorial Day Weekend. My fishing buddies will tell you they try to avoid the waters of Eastern Washington this coming weekend because that's when "all the crazies come out!" I can't say I blame them. We do see a flood of folks from Western Washington invade the 509 for some fun in the sun. But that doesn't mean they're crazy. Maybe they're just a little under pressure because they have the family in tow and are feeling the stress of showing the gang a good time in three days. Marion and I are still figuring out what we'll do this weekend, pending the weather. Friday doesn't look so good, but the rest of the weekend should be OK, with the best day Monday. Maybe we'll just wait until everyone's heading home Monday and sneak out on the water somewhere. We sure had fun last year at this time camping and fishing out of the boat on Lake Roosevelt. We launched a Seven Bays and camped right on the shoreline while cooking up our fresh walleye catch. Memories of last year could also spur a return trip this weekend. We'll see. Until next time, Good Fishing!
