By Dave Graybill

I have been on the road a lot this year and am off to slow start here. I am happy to be back home for a spell and able to get out fishing on some of my favorite waters. I had a great day on Lake Chelan catching kokanee, and my next adventure is going to be to Banks Lake. My buddy Brian Nielson is going to be fishing in the big walleye tournament that is going on this weekend. He will be pre-fishing for the event and invited me along. I am very interested to see how we do for walleye. Banks has treated me very well over the past couple of years, and my freezer is clean empty of walleye fillets. I have a brand new Lamiglas rod to break in, too. It has been driving me crazy seeing it in my garage all rigged and ready. I am also hoping to get out on Banks again over the weekend and this time for smallmouth bass. I have had tremendous fun catching smallmouth on Banks over the years, and I didn’t get to do it even once last year. I am fixing that like right now. It’s just too much fun.
