By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I remember like it was yesterday when I bought my current truck. It wasn't new by any stretch, but it was new to me and the nicest thing I'd ever owned. I felt weird. The rig was three years old and had leather seats, heated seats, a sunroof, electric mirrors, all this fancy stuff. I felt like it was somebody else's because I didn't deserve to have such a nice truck. Well, fast forward 10-years and I feel the same way. Marion and I made a quick run up to Kettle Falls Tuesday to check out a boat for sale. Well, when I say quick trip, it was 8-hours round trip through blinding snow drifts at daylight. We met Ken, who was selling his 2002 Lund 1800 Fisherman. It was one of those rare occasions where it looked even better in person than it did in the Craigslist ad. Marion jumped up in it and I could tell by the look on her face she was already imagining us having new adventures in it this spring and summer. Thankfully Ken accepted our offer and now, this weekend, we're heading up to pick up our new, old boat. Until next time, Good Fishing!
