People with a passion for the outdoors, along with the guides, outfitters and lodge owners have been traveling a lot. They have been attending sport shows in Puyallup, Portland, Oregon and other cities in both states. There is a gap between shows in Washington, so anglers can spend some time on the water. The next sport show coming up is the Central Washington Sportsmen Show in Yakima. I really like this one. It is a smaller version of the big one in Puyallup and the giant one in Portland. It is much easier to spend time with the guides and other exhibitors, and always has special activities for kids. It will be held in the Sundome from Friday, February 15th, through Sunday the 17th. New this year is the West Texas Rattlesnake Show, featuring real live rattlesnakes. The doors open on Friday at 1 and stay open till 7. Show hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., and on Sunday it opens at 10 and closes at 5. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids age 6 to 12. Those under six get in for free. The tickets are good for all three days. Seniors can get into the show on Friday for just five bucks.
