Remember, the annual Central Washington sports show at the Sundome in Yakima opens today and runs through Sunday. The following weekend is the Wenatchee Valley Show that will be held at Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee. There are two events coming up in early March. The first one on your list should be the Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce Trout Derby at Burke Lake. On March 2nd. This event kicks off the early trout season in Columbia Basin, as several lakes open to fishing on March 1st. By starting your season at Burke Lake and buying at derby ticket you could win some tackle and cash. You can learn all the details about the derby and even register by going to my web site at FishingMagician.com and clicking on the Something Fishy logo on the Home Page. The 54th Annual Wenatchee Sportsman’s Association Game Feed is coming up on March 2nd. I mention it now as you will want to get your tickets soon, as it always sells out. It will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in the Kuykendall Hall. The Wenatchee Sportsman’s Association conducts a wide range of projects that benefit fish and wildlife in our region, and this annual banquet provides the funding. I would encourage you to get your ticket and attend. The cost is $50.00 for adults and $35 for youth, and this includes a membership as well as the dinner. You can get tickets at Hooked on Toys in Wenatchee and Sportsman’s Warehouse in East Wenatchee.
