Some days don’t always go as planned, but turn out okay. That’s what happened to me last Tuesday, when Mike McKee and I traveled to Moses Lake to do some walleye fishing. This was my first trip to Moses Lake this year, and I told that I was going to throw in some bass gear in case the walleye weren’t biting. It turned out that the walleye weren’t biting. We got just four bites in the morning and no one else was doing any good, so we broke out the bass gear. Holly Molly, the bass were sure biting. He had two fish on his tube jig before I could cast my Senko. I watched him catch a couple more before I begged him for one of his tubes. The smallmouth were on their beds and we saw fish constantly and caught some really big ones. I don’t think we caught anything under 2 pounds, and he had a couple that were pushing 5 pounds. If you have an interest in bass fishing now is the time to hit Moses Lake. I don’t know how long it will last, but I can’t imagine it being any better than it is right now.
