For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Marion and I are on our way back from a weekend spent in Western Washington on our friend's property in Matlock. It's along the Middle Fork of the Satsop River. It's a great spot to lounge in the river and just relax. We did a lot of that over the weekend with tons of friends. This is also the very location four years ago when I learned about the death of my mother. She had been in a care facility for about a month in the later stages of Lewy body dementia. I'd visited her a week earlier and she was at peace. Hospice nurses had been taking great care of her. She was lying in her bed next to an open window. There was a slight breeze coming in she could feel on her cheek. She never opened her eyes, but I could tell she knew I was there. I told her a couple stories and she smiled. Then I sang to her. Finally, as I turned to go, I kissed her on the forehead telling her "I love you." She asked for three more kisses. I miss her every day. Until next time, Good Fishing!
