For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I am an idiot. While the rest of the outdoor-loving world will have a three-day weekend coming up for Memorial Day, I chose to work. Seriously, I need to get my head checked. I heard someone say once that if you love what you do then you'll never work a day in your life. Right? Maybe not when that work takes away from family time or much-needed relaxation time. I was contacted by a radio station from the west side asking if I'd help cover one of their local baseball teams at the State Tournament this weekend. Without thinking, I said "yes." Then I realized they play both Friday and Saturday. Doh! Oh well, calling baseball on radio is one of my favorite things to do. So I think I'll drag my boat with me since they play Friday morning and then fish the rest of the day. They'll play at either 10am or 4pm Saturday, so that changes the fishing opportunities quite a bit. But at least I'll have a choice and try to combine work and pleasure. So, I may be an idiot, but I'm trying to get smarter. Until next time, Good Fishing!
