For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Hard to believe we're at mid-March already! Fishing season is around the corner, and you have until the end of the month to get your multi-season hunt applications into the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Something fun coming to Wenatchee this week that will tantalize you is a film festival on fly fishing. The 17th Annual Fly Fishing Film Tour will make a stop at the Numerica Performing Arts Center in downtown Wenatchee Thursday at 7pm. There will be a silent auction and raffles to help support local watersheds. The "FT3" as it's called, is presented by Costa, YETI, and Simms. This year's show will feature locations from Cuba to Patagonia, Mexico to Australia, Alaska, Wyoming, the Deep South, Massachusetts and beyond. Experience the achievement of a permit slam, follow the journey of one boy from Mexico to the waters of Wyoming, explore the best international waters and compete for the legendary belt buckle. Local guide and outfitter Mike Sherer with Wenatchee Fly Co. & Guide Service and local fly gear company K&E Outfitters are putting on the show. Proceeds benefit Cascade Fisheries, a nonprofit based in Wenatchee. Tickets are $15. Until next time, Good Fishing!
