For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. This is the time of year you'd better not try to plan too far ahead. Because just as you make a plan, Mother Nature will wreck it. I think it was about this time last year when Marion and I hooked up the boat to the camper and headed for a weekend of fishing fun at Mardon Resort on Potholes Reservoir. We camped alongside a few other friends and after a night of libations our first night, we intended to get up the next morning and search for walleye. You can imagine our astonishment when we woke up to an inch of new snow coating our boat. We finally got on the water the next day, but the winds were so bad it made it impossible to fish so we bagged it and hoped for better weather another time. Just this morning I look out my window and see over an inch of fresh snow fell overnight. We hadn't made any plans but it's a good thing. Strange to think we'll be springing forward with the clocks this weekend but our weather is dragging its heels on acting like spring. Until next time, Good Fishing!
