For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. The warmup the past few days resulted in road conditions that were virtually impassable. Hopefully you were able to get to where you wanted to go for Christmas, or at least get back home by now. My wife and I decided not to travel and test Mother Nature's patience. It was a good thing. We'd still be stuck in Western Washington. This warm up also means anglers headed for frozen lakes in our region need to be extra careful about ice thickness before heading out. Another word to the wise is to check your boat over several times before you decide to head for Rufus Woods or Lake Roosevelt for some winter fishing. It was a year ago on Christmas Day that I towed my boat all the way to Rufus and sat at the launch not able to get it off the trailer because the batteries were stone dead. Well, that's what I thought. Turns out once I got home it was a problem with the neutral switch and the kill mechanism inside the engine compartment. That's a long way to tow only to be relegated to bank fishing. Until next time, Good Fishing!
