By Dave Graybill

Here’s the plan. I am going back to Lake Chelan to try for kokanee, and I am going start at least an hour earlier. Last time we started about 8:15 and got six right away, and then the bite died. I think if I get on the water earlier I will have a better shot at getting couple of limits in the boat before the fish quit on us. I will go the same area, which was Green’s Landing above the Yacht Club, and put my gear down to around 100 feet deep. I will use the Kokabow Inferno Tail Feather blade, and the orange Talon squid. This combo worked great when I was on Chelan last week. I will have two tubs of corn with me. One will be plain white shoe peg corn, scented with Graybill’s Guide Formula Kokanee flavor, and the other will be stained dark pink with the ProCure Wizard Kokanee Killer Korn Dye. This is also scented like the plain white. Speed? Probably about 1.3 to 1.5 mph. That’s the plan and if you check my web site and Facebook pages on Friday you will find out how we do. That’s the plan and I am sticking to it!

If you can’t find the Kokabow Copper Series blades, this combo of the Eclipse Tail Feather and Ravisher spinner is a great combo, too.
