By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Marion was really looking forward to another adventure of camping and fishing last weekend. Spring fever has hit her squarely and she's dying to get out of the house. Then the governor's edict came down that closed fishing across the state and then most of the places we'd want to camp closed as well. The "great" news continued Friday as Marion found out her company is scaling back in light of the pandemic and laid her off for the next 8-to-14 weeks. Since I was working from home all week last week, I knew exactly what to do. By the time she came home from work, I'd set up our camper in the back yard, full of water and propane. I had our camp chairs out and a table loaded with munchies and her favorite adult beverage on ice. I also had a crackling fire going in our fire pit. The huge smile on her face in spite of the day's news was all I needed to see. Next, she suggested we get the rods out and "go backyard fishing". For those of you on our Facebook page, you can see the fun we had. Until next time, Stay Healthy!
