By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. The saying is, "Oh to be young again!" I'm not so sure about that. Yes, I'd love to have my body from when I was 19 when I was in the best shape of my life, but the rest of it? No thank you. I'm 51 now. And I'd like to think I've learned a few things along the way. I'm not saying I'm done learning. Boy howdy do I have a ton left to figure out! But as I look back when I was 21, I thought I had all the answers. I knew everything and no one could tell me anything. I suppose that's nothing new. The song "Cat's in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin comes to mind. It really has to do with perspective. Live long enough and you'll have great perspective. I know I have a much different view on life now than I did 30-years ago. The only reason I would go back is if I could take the knowledge I have now and apply it. But on second thought, I'd need to relive all my mistakes. If I didn't, how could I gain my current perspective? Until next time, Good Fishing!
