By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. While fall is in the air and several hunting seasons are upon us, I'm still figuring out ways to get out on the water and do some fishing. I was perusing social media the other day and saw a post on some good kokanee fishing on a lake I'd never been to before. So I asked Marion if she wanted to do some fishing Sunday morning and she said, "just tell me what time I need to get up." You gotta love a woman with an answer like that! I suggested we load the camper up and head out after the Youth Hunting and Fishing event up at the gun club Saturday. When heading to a new body of water, I like to do as much recon as possible before hand. That includes simply doing the research on maps to figure out how to FIND the place and what the boat launch and facilities will be like. I also like to get there at least a day in advance so I can ask the locals, if there are any around, or other fishermen how they're doing. Hopefully I'll have a good report for you Tuesday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
