For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Marion and I packed up the camper, hooked up the Lund and headed for Lake Chelan State Park Friday night. We arrived to find only a few empty spaces due to snow still covering the majority of the park. Poor Marion was suffering from a cold, so I didn't know if she'd be ready for the 5:45 wake-up call. I let her sleep until 6:30 and we were down launching the boat by a little after 7. The day dawned with mostly clear skies and little if no wind. We ran up lake to the Yacht Club and found a couple boats fishing there, so we decided to give it a try. With four rods overboard, scattering various-colored baits in ten foot intervals between 40 and 80 feet deep, we trolled back and forth with no bites. There was a gathering of more boats further up lake, so we trolled that way. We finally found our first fish off of Green's Landing. We were marking fish on the screen, but getting bites was tough. It was a great day on the water and a perfect shake down cruise for the new boat. Until next time, Good Fishing!
