By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Why do I do it to myself? I've just spent the past hour, scrolling through Craiglist looking at boats for sale. But we all do it, right? It's like the Auto Trader when I was a teenager. I'd get the latest issue and thumb through page after page of the ultimate car I'd want. Then it was the Truck Trader. If you read the Nickle Ads or any similar weekly advertisers, the largest users are the car lots anymore. The internet and places like Craigslist have virtually replaced the old, eared-cornered, paper publications. I guess I'm looking because I just spent an hour and a half in my boat, extracting the starter that just went bad. I feel like I'm putting good money after bad time and time again with this old boat. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but this is getting old. But have you seen pricing on used fishing boats? And I'd swear those aluminum boats must be made out of gold! The average price, I figure, is about two thousand dollars a foot. Older fiberglass boats are $500 a foot. Guess I'll keep the Reinell. Until next time, Good Fishing!
