By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. The Brewster Salmon Derby went off without a hitch, other than the smoke last weekend. The winning big fish was turned in by Joel Grafe of Lake Stevens. The king weighed in at 28.76 pounds and was 41.3 inches long. For his luck, Joel takes home the King of the Pool and Largest Fish in the Adult category, which could be worth over $3,000. 2nd place went to James Jester and his 24.85 pound king. Third was Corey Maynard and his king weighing in at 24.78 pounds. Interestingly, the top three places in the youth category (9-14) were girls. First place went to Amanda Davis for her 22.76-pound fish. 2nd to Callie Christoph for her 20.79-pound king. And 3rd to Laney Howe and her 16.92 pound Chinook. In the child division (8 and under), the top fish was caught by Alan Shelton. That weighed in at 13.18 pounds. Liam Linklater was second with a king weighing 11.12 pounds. Landon Manuel was 3rd with a Chinook weighing 7.56-pounds. A total of 110 Kings were weighed in. Congratulations to all the winners. You can go to www.brewstersalmonderby.com for more information and winners. Until next time, Good Fishing!
