I want to remind fishing families that there are some great events yet to come and to click on Events for Kids on my web site to see what ahead. Last weekend was a great one at Leavenworth, and the award for the furthest distance traveled to the event was Sweden. I don’t think they really planned their trip around the Fishing Kids Day, but they were impressed enough to take information home and want to start a similar event there. We did have a whole troop of Girl Scouts from Maltby at the event, and the girls all earned a badge while they were there. I also want to remind you that I will be in Moses Lake on Saturday at the Valley Marine Boat Show. Look for me from about 11 to 2 to answer questions about fishing in the region. The folks from Valley Marine will be available to answer questions on the care and maintenance of fishing boats. If you are looking for a way to entertain young anglers on the water, a good place to go right now is either Roses or Dry lakes near Manson at Chelan. Both of these lakes offer red-hot action for bluegill and that means a fun filled time on the water for youngsters.
