By Dave Graybill

Fishing at Rufus Woods Reservoir for big triploid rainbow trout has become a major attraction in the fall and winter here in Central Washington. Last season was off the charts fantastically good fishing, and with the Colville tribe’s plans to supplement the trout population, it should continue to be an excellent large trout fishery. If you would like to learn how to effectively fish the reservoir, and have not been able to attend one of the seminars at Cascade Auto Center, with Anton Jones and Joe Heinlen, here’s another opportunity to hear from these experts. Fishing for big rainbow at Rufus Woods was added to the list of things that these guys from Darrell and Dad’s Family Guide Service for a long time, and they will be sharing their secrets at Big Wally’s in Coulee City on Saturday, November 8th starting at 10 a.m. Rosie, at the tackle shop there is excited about luring these guys to the store for their excellent presentation on fishing at Rufus Woods. If you have any interest in learning how to fish this fabulous resource mark your calendar and be sure to attend. It’s free and it’ll be well worth the trip.
