By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com I'm Eric Granstrom. It's amazing what may come out of having beers with friends. Now, I'm not saying this is the preferred way to hatch a plan, but some interesting outcomes in my life started with a tall, frosty glass of my favorite ale. Last night while having dinner and a couple cervezas with my friends Dave and Tara, we were lamenting about how Mother Nature fooled us into thinking it was spring last week and how I wanted to get my boat out. I've been watching the success stories coming from Lake Chelan and the kokanee fishing there lately. Dave began reminiscing about the burbot fishing he used to do in Chelan in the winter time using trot lines. Suddenly, after taking a sip of beer to help wash down my taco special, I said, "you know, I have a cover and heater for the boat. We could go this weekend!" Dave's eyes lit up and he said, "really?!" It took a little more convincing for Tara but the plan is on and we're going fishing Saturday. The forecast is for temperatures in the 30's but not much wind, so it's a go. Until next time, Good Fishing!
