For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. If you did any crabbing in Puget Sound, today is your last day to get your catch record card in so as not to face an extra fee when you try to buy one next year. They've made it available online as well by going to fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov. It seems like yesterday that we were basking over Labor Day weekend and now it's suddenly October. As Dave has been talking about this week, the Coho are certainly pointing their noses upstream after a little bit of rain. I'm seeing more and more fish being caught as the days go by. In addition, Fall Chinook are keeping anglers busy along the Hanford Reach and Vernita Bridge. Be prepared for a ton of boats and if you're not familiar with this stretch of river, be wary as I've seen photos of plenty of props damaged by hitting rocks. This is also a transition time of year when hunters begin licking their chops for the upcoming modern firearm deer and elk seasons. Hopefully now that the cooler weather is here and the fire danger is diminishing, you take the time to site in your rifles. Until next time, Good Fishing!
