For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. After a cold night at the Spring Canyon campground sleeping in our camper, I checked the temperature on my phone after the alarm went off at 7am. It said it was 18-degrees. No wonder my nose felt awfully cold! I reset the alarm for 9 and hoped a sun-splashed sky would warm up a little by then. 23-chilly degrees met my blurry stare when the alarm buzzed against at 9 o'clock. After carefully putting up the top on the boat, trying not to break the plastic side curtains and windows, we slipped the boat off the trailer and slowly motored through the tight buoys onto Lake Roosevelt. I had a hot report of good rainbow fishing in Eden Harbor down towards the dam. Marion and I spent a good hour in there plunking with no luck. I'd also read that a few fellas did well trolling the can line by the dam so we tried there next. Nothing. We finally got our first hit trolling Rapala's off the side-planers off the beach by the old Coulee Dam Seaplane Base. We learned later guys had done well fishing off the mouth of the Sanpoil River. Until next time, Good Fishing!
